Stichstop Gloves
With a new glove from German company KCL, imported exclusively by Extreme Safety; it is now possible to completely protect your hands against the threat of needle stick injuries. The glove has been designed for complete protection against such injuries whilst retaining the hand flexibility required by the health care, law enforcement, public transport and waste disposal industries. The STICHSTOP (German for Prick Stop) is a two part glove, the outer glove is a complex interlock fabric coated in a wear resistant nitrile material. This outer glove is replaceable; thus extending the life of the inner glove.
StichStop gloves comply with various European Norms (EN) or Standards. They comply with EN420, providing level 4 Dexterity. They also comply with EN388 and provide Level 3 abrasion Resistance, Level 5 Cut Resistance, Level 4 Tear Resistance and also Level 4 Puncture Resistance.
The real protection however comes from the inner glove, which has well over 200 small steel plates attached to the palm of the Kevlar glove. The design of these plates ensures the glove still retains good hand mobility and dexterity while at all times providing protection against needle stick injuries, when worn in accordance with instructions.
These tough materials, together with clever design and engineering, have formed the only glove available in Australia that provides complete protection from needle pricks. Along with this comes the prevention of the related injuries, complications and costs. This glove will give workers piece of mind while retaining excellent mobility and comfort characteristics, raising job satisfaction and therefore productivity. The STICHSTOP glove comes as a kit complete with one pair of inner gloves and two pairs of the replaceable outer gloves.
